6th Annual Downtown Hyattsville Arts Festival
The Hyattsville Community Development Corporation will present the Annual Downtown Hyattsville Arts Festival along Baltimore Ave. (Route 1) and Jefferson St. on Saturday, September 14th, 2013, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. with key sponsors: Streetsense, Pulte Homes, M-NCPPC Dept. of Parks and Recreation, the City of Hyattsville, EYA Homes, Palette at Arts District, East City Art, The Morris & Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation, Maryland State Arts Council, Maryland Heritage Areas Authority, ATHA Inc./Maryland Milestones, Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center, GreeNEWit, Prince George’s Arts & Humanities Council, ShelfGenie, and Washington City Paper’s Crafty Bastards Arts & Crafts Fair, to date.
Over 70 visual artists and artisans, musicians and dancers will gather and be featured along the neighborhood streets of Arts District Hyattsville – one of the D.C. area’s newest smart growth communities, showcasing the talented arts community in Hyattsville and the Gateway Arts District. The town center features anchors such as Busboys and Poets, a regional restaurant and performance venue, and Yes! Organic Market, a regional grocery selling healthful food, supplements and body care products. Enjoy local beer from Franklin’s Restaurant & Brewery, delicious food and drink by Arts District Hyattsville restaurants Busboys and Poets, Chipotle, Elevation Burger, Spice 6, Tara Thai, Yogi Castle, and more.
An exhibitors and performers listing will be available the week of August 27th, at http://www.hyattsvillearts.com. The Festival welcomes back children’s arts activities lead by Art Works Studio School and Joe’s Movement Emporium & World Arts Focus, and more.
