Business Information

Opened on May 4, 2009 and located in the North Brentwood Municipal Center, Gwendolyn Britt Senior Activity Center was carefully planned and designed for those ages 60 & better. Featuring a large multi-purpose room, a dining area, a lounge with regulation-sized pool table and game tables, a computer lab, and a small, quiet room, patrons will find plenty of interesting things to do.

The center offers a variety of activities including clubs, classes, special events, inter-generational activities, and trips. Some of the activities held include a Mahjong Club, duckpin bowling, a book club, the Bon Appétit International Cuisine Club, a piano bar happy hour, health seminars, health screenings, and so much more! The line dancers, billiards enthusiasts, card players, and Golden Voices Choir are always seeking new members. The state-of-the-art computer lab holds a variety of computer classes. When classes are not in session, seniors are welcome to use the lab to browse the internet or communicate with family and friends.

The Food and Friendship Program operated by the Prince George's County, Department of Family Services, Area Agency on Aging, offers a nutritionally balanced lunch daily at this center. Additionally, they provide limited transportation to and from the center. For information and to make your reservations, please call the Area Agency on Aging Office at 301-265-8450.
