Dana McQuillan, a self-proclaimed “Jill of All Trades”, has worked at an ice cream factory to a fine china shop to a veterinary hospital. A lover of all things beautiful, she gardens, reads, sews, creates art, and strives to learn something new every day. Dana graduated from The Maryland Institute College of Art with a BFA in Fiber Arts and a Minor in Art History. She spent three years working with renowned quilt maker, Denyse Schmidt, as a designer and manufacturer of high end home furnishings. For six years, Dana taught elementary school art at Saint Jerome School in Hyattsville, Maryland. She currently teaches specialty art courses at The Friends School of College Park, and ArtWorks in Severna Park, and makes art daily with her 2 year old daughter.
