Irvin D. Peterson
A native of Byron, Texas, Irvin D. Peterson received a Bachelors of Music Education degree from the University of Texas in Austin. He is presently a saxophonist with The PresidentÕs Own United States Marine Band and a vocalist with the Church of Epiphany Choir, Washington D.C., the Washington National Cathedral Choir of Men and Boys, and several other local ensembles. He toured Israel with the Dailas Symphony Chorus under conductor Zubin Mehta and served as music director and rehearsal accompanist for mask and Bauble production of "Guys and DollsÒ at Georgetown University. He has recorded with Capitol Quartet (Saxophone Quartet) on Klavier Labei's American Sketches and is also piano accumpanist for instrumental contests for DeMatha High School students. Services offered: lessons for individuals, program coordination, special events (weddings, private parties. etc) Target audience: Ages 6-12, 13-18, adults/young adults, senior citizens
My principal occupation is a saxophonist with the United States Marine Band, Washington, DC. However, I maintain a private teaching studio in my home in Cottage City teaching piano, flute, clarinet and saxophone. i also offer keyboard accompaniment to other artists.
