MOUTHPEACE Theater Group
MOUTHPEACE is a performing artist theater group formed by Princess Best and Mervin Primeaux to create artistic projects that promote cultural awareness and closing communication gaps; i.e. the intersections of the HEARING and DEAF worlds. Deaf has often been associated with being "dumb." Being black has often been associated with being “hood” or “ghetto”. MOUTHPEACE proves that these stereotypes are not only NOT true, but they destruct the very fabric of what it is to be a human being. MOUTHPEACE Theater produces works that heal through the arts, encourage diversity and expand language communication.
