Maryland’s first official arts district
Stretching two miles along the U.S. Route 1 corridor, the Gateway Arts District brings together the communities of Mount Rainier, Brentwood, North Brentwood, and Hyattsville. Rooted in a longstanding community of artists and creatives, Gateway is a place where art and everyday life meet, from studios, galleries, performances, and exhibitions to local businesses, cultural experiences, and neighborhood life.
Upcoming events
Step inside the creative spaces of the Gateway Arts District during Open Studios Tour, where artists across four communities open their studio doors and invite visitors to experience their work, creative processes, and artistic practices.
